Hello fellow-ccm users

I am interested in installing CCM3 on a non-supported machine architecture,
either a PC or an ALPHA. I would greatly appreciate it, if anyone who has
attempted this or something similar, could let me know whether they found
that the ease with which one can install CCM3 on such a machine is

(a) greatly enhanced
(b) enhanced
or
(c) unaffected

by going first through the process of installing CCM3 on a supported
machine
architecture such as a SUN?
