I am a NASA-funded postdoctoral research fellow working at NCAR.

My research interests include:

Cloud and aerosol processes and their influence on the coupled climate system

Using remote-sensing data to measure and understand our changing climate

Evaluation of climate models using data assimilation

Climate change impacts and adaptation strategies

Recent highlights include:

Anomalous cloud and weather patterns contributed to the record Arctic sea ice loss in 2007.

For more information, see our GRL paper, and the NCAR and AGU press releases.

For a local perspective on Arctic change and research, listen to Talk of Alaska.

See the NSIDC blog or daily maps for current Arctic sea ice conditions.

A simple timescale ratio can predict aerosol sensitivity in ice clouds.

More information in our recent GRL paper.

New ICLEI manual helps local governments prepare for climate change.

Access the manual we wrote at the Climate Impacts Group website here.
