#####################NOTES#####################

1) As a crude, first-estimate of the model clouds CloudSat would detect, for CSthreshold monthly zonal mean movies – I use Beesley (2000) empirical relationships between cloud variables and dBZ to screen for CloudSat-only model clouds.

2) In the 3.50_nmicro2.50_refl2 CAM run, I can make maps of the cloud fraction using the same cloud definition as what might be seen by CloudSat.  SO – here I also present plots in which cloud is defined as having a dBZ value between -30 and 10.  Note that these are bin by height plots over the specified ccsm cloud height ranges.  Thus, they are not directly comparable to the bin by profile plots that I have done for CloudSat data.
