Air Travel for CCSM Workshop
NCAR's travel agency, Boulder Travel, is available to help
with your airline reservations. Boulder Travel has negotiated with
United Airlines for an airfare discount from 5% to 10% for the CCSM
Workshop. The discount does not apply to United's codeshare
partners. Please contact Jean Ann Goldsberry at jeananng@bouldertravel.com.
There is an agent fee of $30 per ticket.
You can fly into the Santa Fe airport, which is small. The only
airline carrier is Great Lakes Aviation (http://www.greatlakesav.com/)
with United and Frontier as codeshare partners.
You can fly into the Albuquerque airport, which has many airline
carriers (http://www.cabq.gov/airport/flights.html)
and then take a shuttle or rent a car for the 1 hour
drive to Santa Fe. Car rental information can be found at
http://www.cabq.gov/airport/rentals.html.
Ground Transportation
If you fly into Albuquerque, there are two shuttle companies that
provide service to hotels in Santa Fe:
-- Sandia Shuttle (1-888-775-5696 or online at
http://www.sandiashuttle.com)
at $23 per person each way, $46 round trip or $43 per person round
trip pre-paid with credit card; and
-- Santa Fe Shuttle (1-888-833-2300) at $21 per person each way and $38 round-trip.
BOULDER/DENVER/FT. COLLINS ATTENDEES PLEASE NOTE: NCAR will
possibly contract with People's Choice for a 55-passenger bus or buses that
will leave NCAR's Mesa Lab on Tuesday, 6 July 2004, in the morning to
arrive at the Eldorado Hotel in the afternoon. The bus will return on
Friday, 9 July 2004, leaving the Eldorado Hotel at approximately 1:30
p.m. If you or your guests are interested in riding the bus, please
contact Lydia Shiver at lydia@ucar.edu.
Lodging (Please make reservations EARLY or by 1 June 2004 latest!)
We have secured a group rate at the Eldorado Hotel, 309 West San Francisco
Street, Santa Fe, New Mexico, which is located a few blocks from the
Santa Fe Plaza area (see map). You can
expect luxurious accommodations and
personal service, in-room terry cloth robes, extended room service
hours, valet parking, a unique rooftop swimming pool
and whirlpool, and a fully-equipped exercise room, sauna, and professional
masseuse. The Eldorado Hotel meets the fire and life
safety requirements of the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990.

-- These rates are available from Saturday, 3 July 2004, through
Sunday, 11 July 2004, based on availability.
-- Maximum guestroom occupancy is two adults; there is a $20 per night
charge for each additional adult.
-- There is no charge for children under the age of 18.
-- The tax rate is 12.6875% ($12.56 per night on $99 room).
-- Valet parking for hotel guests is $10 per 24-hour period.
-- Valet parking for attendees not staying at
the hotel will be charged a daily parking fee ($10) subject to parking
availability.
-- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:30 a.m.

Cancellation Policy: You must cancel more than 72-hours prior to
your original arrival date or you will be charged 1 night plus tax.
Continental Breakfasts, Breaks, Lunches, Reception, and Poster Session
Continental breakfast will be available each morning. There will be
a break each morning and each afternoon. Lunches are on your own.
The reception will be at the Palace of the
Governors, a short walk from the Eldorado Hotel, on
Wednesday evening. The Poster Session will be held throughout the
days of the workshop.
Registration
The workshop is open, and anyone interested in attending the workshop
must complete the
online registration form.
All
participants MUST register. Limited travel funds
may be available, and the registration form must indicate details of
financial requirements needed and information on current CCSM work or
planned future work. All requests for travel funding must be received via online
registration by close of business Friday, 23 April 2004.
Programs for Adults and Children
Santa Fe Destinations, located at the Eldorado Hotel, is putting
together fun programs for adults and children during the workshop.
