2017 Arctic Change Workshop
Opportunistic strategies to integrate measurements and modeling to enhance understanding of Arctic change
Given the upcoming Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) and the Year of Polar Prediction (YOPP), we felt it was timely to hold a workshop to bring observers and modelers together. The themes of the workshop are to find better ways to utilize models for planning observational programs and also better ways to integrate the observations for improving models. The main goals of the workshop would be to identify the processes that are key to these themes; finding ways to facilitate these themes; and potentially form collaborations around them. The workshop is scheduled for June 22nd and 23rd, 2017 at the NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder.
