Setting up Google Mail on your Mobile Device

  • Each Device will be Different. Mainly you will need to find the add account option in your devices settings
  • Most devices will have the option to add a Gmail or Google account. Select this and follow the prompts
  • This should get you configured on most devices. But if for any reason it doesn't please check the IMAP setting below.
  • It is highly recommended that if you add your work email to your mobile device that you set up a device password. This will protect any work data in the event of a lost or stolen device.

  • Security Type: ssl (required)
  • username: Your google username (
  • Password: Your UCAS password.
  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
  • SMTP Server
  • Port:465
  • Email address: Your email address (
  • Account Name or User Name: Your google username (
  • Password: Your UCAS password.
