Disabled:

Accounts will be disabled for one of the following reasons:

• 6 months of inactivity

• Invalid user contact information

• Invalid sponsor access

• Security problems (stolen account, weak password, etc).

Sponsors and internal employees will be notified of account disabling. Sponsors are responsible for notifying users at other institutes.

Removed:

Accounts will be removed after 6 months of being disabled. This includes:

• Tape archive of user data from CGD systems .

• Removal of user files from CGD systems. Note that data located on other Division computer systems is not the responsibility of CGD/IS and that each Division has its own procedure for user data archival. In short, don't be surprised if it's just deleted.

• Removal of the username/password from all CGD systems.

• Notification to other Divisions for similar activity.
