Machine Room Over Heating
Power Down Order
The CGD machine has a history of over heating. Until this situation
is resolved, systems will have to be powered off to prevent damage.
What follows is only a guide used to determine which systems
to turn off when. Every effort will be made to protect scientific
an infrastructure computing.
Tiers (1=most important, 5=least)
1 - E-mail and Web servers2 - User login servers, major file servers
3 - General use systems, compute servers
4 - Little used servers, or (somewhat) redundant
5 - Test/install servers
