Hello CGD,
As you are aware the Mesa Lab experienced a power failure at
approximately 11:55 am Wednesday November 4. CGD/IS started shutting
down systems at 12:05 pm to reduce the heat load in the server room. As
time went on CGD/IS had to power off all CGD systems to avoid heat
damage to the machines.

At approximately 1:47 pm power was restored to the Mesa. CGD/IS
completed powering on systems at 2:55 pm. The following systems are
expected to be up in the next few hours:

	. Farallon (file system checking all drives)

There is high potential for failed hardware on your desktops. Please
report these problems and any other problems by sending email to
help@cgd.ucar.edu
