NCAR/CGD Systems Work

6:00am - 8:00am

NOTE:  This systems work will affect all CGD logins!!!  Please close out
applications and log off Tuesday night to insure data integrity.

HOME and MAIL server Offline
-----------------------------
    baldmtn, our home and /var/mail server will be
    offline for Operating System and firmware upgrades.


SUN Solaris systems Offline
----------------------------
    All SUN computers will be offline including
    the following public systems:
	goldhill
	wreq work request system
	SUNRAY servers & sunray clients!
	flagstaff, neva, sanitas
	name/yp(nis) servers

    These systems will be patched for the Daylight Savings Time changes.

File System Checks & Reboots
-----------------------------
   The following systems/partitions will be down for file system
   consistency checks:
	klondike:/project/satftp*
	klondike:/project/bgc*
	twomile:/project/tss
	mineral:/datalocal/ccpe

As usual, please contact the CGD/IS staff at systems@cgd.ucar.edu
if the work will interrupt any planned computing.
