NCAR/CGD Systems Work

Central /home & H: Server, E-mail

    The central file server for /home & the H: driver server
    will be down during this time. CGD/IS has finished expanding
    disk space and will need to remove one of the disk shelves.

    /home and H: will be off line....
    which pretty much means division computing will come
    to a halt. (Note that e-mail will be queued up on
    originating hosts and delivered when CGD e-mail is
    started again.)

    Expect reboots on after the completion of this work
    to clear stale NFS mounts.

Compute Servers and desktop diag tests
--------------------------------------
The following Servers will be down to run diag tests:

    Salina (still down from previous week)
    Mineral and all ccp* partitions
    Roach and all datalocal partitions
    Riesling

Subversion Server upgrade
-------------------------

The host server is being switched from the Fedora Core
Linux track to the CentOS track for stability reasons.
All repositories will be unavailable during this time
so that the data can be moved to the new server.
