Try the following: delete the "-f indef" specification from the Makefile.
As I recall, this "no such device" problem occurs when "-f indef" is
specified, and first materialized in an OS release from at least a year ago.
I don't believe the macro redefinition has anything to do with the problem,
but you could try deleting it from the .h file.

Good to see Cray jumps right on these problems.
